The Premier League 2010/11 Season is almost up on us, and after a summer to forget it will be nice to get back to what promises to be one of the most exciting Premiership seasons yet.
The sound of World Cup vuvuzelas has just about started to fade, but football fans are already looking around for the next opportunity to make some football betting profits. Fortunately, we are nearing the start of the English Premier League 2010/11 season, and bookmakers are already offering a number of markets for the shrewd “early bird” to examine.
Premier League 2010/11 Winner Odds:
Will Chelsea become Premier League Champions again or will another team grab that title? The number one market for Premier League betting is the English Premier League Outright market. At the Sky Bet sports betting site the 2009/10 winners Chelsea are installed as the 6/4 favourites to be the 2010/11 Premiership Champions, with Manchester United at 9/4 and Manchester City at 5/1. Arsenal are fourth in the betting at 7/1 with Liverpool the next best at 11/1. You can get odds of 35/1 on Tottenham and odds of 150/1 or better about any other team winning the English Premier League title, but if history dictates that the winner will probably come from the top 5.

Premier League 2010/11 Top Goalscorer Odds:
The Premier League top scorer usually comes from one of the top 4 but there is also the chance of a surprise winner as history has shown. Wayne Rooney and Fernando Torres are favourites at 9/2, but after poor world Cup showings, will they continue where they left off when they return to the Premier League or will they carry over the tiredness that was evident in South Africa? The ever dangerous Didier Drogba is 3rd favourite at 5/1 and is followed up by Tevez at 8/1 and Robin Van Persie at 10/1. However there are very good odds on the rest of the Premier League strikers if you think this season could throw up a few surprises. Could Jermaine Defoe fire Spurs to glory or will a new signing such as Marouane Chamakh take the Premiership by storm.

Barclays Premier League 2010/11 Relegation Odds
As usual the 3 newly promoted teams feature heavily in the favourites to be relegated, with Blackpool obvious and clear favourites to go down at 2/7, followed by West Brom at 4/5 and Newcastle at 11/4. Of last seasons Premiership teams, West Ham are most likely to suffer the drop at 5/1.
